This is the only way to make the Mac desktop a smart device. Now, You can install macOS Sierra on Windows. VirtualBox is capable of installing an macOS in your computer as an application. It works perfectly well with Sierra and in order to run macOS on windows, you need a computer with windows that has to be 64-bit, at least 4GB RAM and a dual-core processor. Installing macOS Sierra in VitualBox is very easy; you download virtual disk and open it with VirtualBox, then create new virtual machine. I was getting a “Guru Meditation” error (VirtualBox 5.0.40 r115130 on Linux on a Core i5-7300U) when following these instructions. I eventually narrowed it down to the –setcpuid command; both sets of registers caused the VM to crash, but leaving them unset prevented the errors. Using –setcpuid is usually only necessary for AMD processors anyway (at least according to other similar guides floating around); I’d recommend only suggesting it in cases where users absolutely need to override their CPU IDs. Unfortunately, I was still stuck on a black screen (and looking at VBox.log, it looked like the VM basically stopped doing anything after the EFI loading step). I ended up fixing *that* by switching the VM OS type to plain “Mac OS X (64-bit)” (as opposed to this guide’s instruction to select El Capitan specifically), at which point I was able to get through the setup screens and get fully (as far as I can tell) operational. Might also be worth noting in the guide.
