If after switching from a thin regular pen to a highlighter, I then make the highlighter thicker to highlight and then I go back to the regular pen, the icon for the thickness has also changed and become thicker which doesn't match the regular pen's actual thickness (which remains thin as it should since its useful to have different thicknesses for different pens).
